Genesis 3

Dr. Bryan Stensaas teaches from Genesis 3 that after Adam and Eve sinned, their fig leaf aprons revealed man's futile efforts to cover sin, but God rejected them and provided coats of skins through the shedding of innocent blood. You see God's mercy in delaying eternal death and His grace in promising a Redeemer in Genesis 3:15, while emphasizing that nothing man-made (whether religious rituals or worldly immodesty) makes us acceptable to Him. He clothed them Himself to show only His way covers nakedness, a picture of sin that demands full covering, not partial exposure as modern culture accepts even among Christians.
