1 Peter 3:18-22
Triumph Through Suffering

Suffering and victory rarely feel like they belong together, but 1 Peter 3:18-22 shows they do. Christ's sacrifice for sin was made once, for all, complete and sufficient, needing nothing added to it. Through the example of Noah's faithfulness while building the ark, this message points to a God who is patient, who saves those who trust Him, and who secures that salvation completely. Baptism does not save, but points to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only way anyone can be brought to God. If your faith and trust are in Him, your salvation cannot be lost, only lived out day by day.
